All the Irish in Hollywood turned out for the 'Irish Oscars' last night... It's the Dredge

All the day’s celebrity duurrrt.

EVERY WEEKDAY MORNING, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the best of the day’s celebrity dirt from the top to the very bottom.

The Oscar Wilde Awards (AKA the ‘Irish Oscars’) took place in Los Angeles last night, and of course the Irish in Hollywood turned out in style.

Honorees included Glen Hansard, Outlander’s Caitriona Balfe, Ruth Negga, Star Trek actor Zachary Quinto (who is half Irish) and comedian Martin Short.

Hansard also provided the entertainment, along with Glenn and Ronan, the Irish duo who went global last year thanks to a stunning Adele medley.

Ruth was fittingly outfitted in head-to-toe green:

Jon Hamm was there, and DELIGHTED about it:

Former American Horror Story co-stars Sarah Paulson and Zachary Quinto also had a moment.

Looks like a cosy night was had by all. Throw us an invite next time, will you?

Beyoncé has cancelled her performance at Coachella in April on doctor’s orders. The lady is pregnant with twins! We’re not surprised.

We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes. - The Carters Instagram / beyonce Instagram / beyonce / beyonce

Bey was scheduled to perform on the two weekends of the festival, but released a statement this morning saying:

Following the advice of her doctors to keep a less rigorous schedule in the coming months, Beyoncé has made the decision to forgo performing at Coachella. However, we are pleased to confirm that she will be a headliner at the 2018 festival.

Do have a rest, Beyoncé. And maybe post some more of these adorable Snapchat filtered-photos with Blue while you’re at it? (Metro)

Emma Thompson has said it would be ‘too sad’ to reprise her role in Love Actually without her late co-star Alan Rickman. Ah :(

A sequel to the beloved film is currently being filmed for Comic Relief, but Thompson’s name did not feature on the cast list – she said that it was ‘too soon’ after Rickman’s death to do it. (Telegraph)

It’s absolutely right because it’s supposed to be for Comic Relief but there isn’t much comic relief in the loss of our dear friend really only just over a year ago.

She did, however, offer her ideas for the future of her character:

Both of them would be in therapy right now and I would be working on some kind of ward. It was absolutely the right decision.

And the rest of the day’s celebrity dirt…
